Introducing The North Face Design Residency, a collection of one of a kind The North Face products that represent our commitment to innovation, education and a more sustainable future for apparel.
The Design Residency is an ongoing project that educates designers about circular design principles that make products more repairable, reusable or recyclable. The goal is to create purposeful solutions inside a framework that considers the complete lifecycle of the garment and apply circular principles through hands on repair and redesign. During the Residency designers apply these learnings and launch new lines of products made entirely of existing materials. Residency products are available for sale through the Residency Project Collection and several were auctioned off to benefit the Explore Fund.
The Design Residency is made possible through The North Face Renewed which, to date, has diverted over 112,310 lbs of textile waste from landfills. The program refurbishes clothing to offer the same quality and performance you expect from The North Face, with less impact on the earth.
